OSU Votes is a non-partisan committee headed by Pay It Forward at The Ohio Union dedicated to registering, educating, and motivating students to vote. There are 13 students who were selected to be a part of this committee. Per the university motto of "Education for Citizenship," OSU Votes will help students not only register to vote, but learn about the voting process, the candidates and issues, and most importantly how to be a civically engaged student at The Ohio State University.

The State of Ohio has played a significant role in determining elected Presidents in the past and 2012 will be no different. As the state's flagship institution, Ohio State leads the way in representing the young adult population in the state of Ohio and the nation. OSU Votes believes with such a large population, Ohio State can lead the way in providing education for citizenship today and engaging the community in civic responsibility for a lifetime.

OSU Votes is in no way affiliated with a political party or ideology. This non-partisan group only seeks to improve voter efficacy, lessen voter apathy, increase voter turnout, and instill a greater sense of civic engagement in a student body that Pays It Forward. For more information on ways to get involved, contact an OSU Votes member.
